Henry Trail -- A fur trader, chronicler of the old North-West,

Burwalde Woods Ski Trails--Burwalde Trails is located 3mi (5km) north of the intersection of PTH#3 & PTH#14 at Burwalde Woods Honey. The trails are based out of the home farm of Phil and Vera Froese but extend onto a number of neighbouring properties as well. The ski trails are maintained for the members of Boundary Trails Nordic Club (BTNC) but visitors are also welcome to use them. There is a voluntary donation box at the trailhead; all monies go to BTNC for trail maintenance and ski programs. The club also has ski rentals available for local use only. Call Phil or Vera at 325-4591 to make arrangements. Froeses have made ski parking available on their yard but it is limited so try not to waste parking space and don’t block the lane or garage.
We groom 10km of classic trails and 6km of skate ski trail. The terrain is relatively flat and most of the trails are well sheltered in the woods making for pleasant skiing on all but the windiest days. Most trails are loops and we suggest you follow the indicated direction of travel. The exception is the two-way traffic Creek Trail which roughly follows the Dead Horse Creek for 5km toward Morden. Remember you have to return the same distance you ski out.
